Need help

I used to play YR and now, it is going slow. Before June 5th, 2006, when I play YR, it loaded fast and was very fast. But now, when it is loading, it takes over 10 minutes for it to start, and it freezes during gameplay, then continues.

Here are the things I know.
It could be eTrust(this was the new antivirus I got for my computer).
It can't be my OS. I was playing this game on Windows XP(still am) and it went smooth/good.
It can't be my hard drive, I got around 20GB left, and I have good storage.

So how can I fix it?

Try disabling your virus scanner and then playing the game. Completely shut it down, and if the game runs fine then that is the problem.

I tried RA2, and still it freezes(the part where it says RA2 and it is still on the desktop). I shut it down, and it still isn't working well. Maybe it is that Vista thing I downloaded and installed. Should I uninstall it?

You installed Vista!? That is a major change to your system. That will be the cause of the problem; EA has stated that its back catalogue is not Vista Compatible.

Try setting compatibility mode to Windows 95, that may solve it.

I mean, I installed something that acts like Vista, it is the thing that makes your computer Windows Vista, but it is really Windows XP.

No idea what affect that would have on the game; I'd ask the developers. Still your best bet is to set compatibility mode to Windows 95 for the RA2 executable.
