I had never seen the Nod MCV in action, so I fired up a quick Skirmish against an easy Nod AI to see. I undeployed by starting Con Yard and played around with the MVC for a bit (it's very cute when it turns a 180).
After I'd had enough I thought I might as well get defeated, so I sent to towards the enemy base. But what did I find? 2 Militant Squads and a few structures, so I deployed my MCV and started building a base...they stopped firing at me when I deployed! I suspect that's to do with the adaptive AI that eased up on me because it thought I was on the ropes.
Anyway I threw up some defences, churned out some Scorpions, Militants Squads and Fanatics and finishing them off! It was quite amusing :p
Here's the replay from the match, now I haven't tried it, but here's supposedly how to make it work:
- Place downloaded replay in My Documents > Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Demo > Replays folder,
- Right-click C&C 3 demo shortcut.
- Add -spectator after the last quotation mark in the "Target" command line
- Start up the game using this shortcut,
- Go to REPLAYS and once there, select the downloaded replay from the list,
- Double click to watch!
