This morning I received an American copy of the Kane Edition and to my surprise it is pretty different to the UK version, check them out.

UK:

US:

The US version comes in a double-sized DVD box with a cardboard sleeve and contains a shortcut keys card and an A3 tech-tree poster. The cardboard sleeve also has a small sticker with "x of 100,000", the disks differ in their design and the "Kane Edition" logo is placed differently. I find it odd that the Kane Edition should differ between countries, although I'm somewhat glad because I'm gonna have to find somewhere to put the US version as it won't fit in my DVD rack like my British one.

It's also interesting to note that on the shipping label EA valued the contents at $10.

Typical EA always look after the Yanks above everyone else. :(

Oh well I suppose those extras are really only superficial...

But wait I LIKE superficial crap like that! :(

My Kane edition is the same as the UK version. Even if it is the Australasian version.

Meh I never used the tech tree and shortcut key card from previous games so I'm not too cut up about it TBH.

It's just the fact that the European people pay about the same amount of money and get less. That pretty sucks :(

I suppose, that is a bit of a rip really.

Well the keyboard key would be good to have... had them in all the other CNC's along with the unit structures....

Anyhoo It was £30 for KE in the UK $60 in the US... we didnt get it any cheeper Yanks had it for £5 less roughly... and the non-pre order kane edition costs £40 ;)

Face it... we get screwed over... ¬¬

At least my manual didn't fall apart. That has happened a few times in the past... (Not EA games by the way.)

Greetings to all,

I would like to know why so many with high end Pc's have so much trouble to run the game at all.

You see I have an Pc wich even does not meet the recommended requierments for the game but it still works fine.

Intel Pentium 4 1,8GHz
640 MB RAM
Win XP Home Edition with service pack 2
Graphic Card Radeon 9250
In Game settings in graphic tab set to default for my PC at low !

And the game runs well enough,I have also running other programs in the background in the same time.
Only in the movies the sound is played quicker than it should but this is an minor issue.

My guess is that perhaps the different game edition have problems and others have not.

what do you think ?

There are only two editions of the game, and neither have any real differences to speak of that would directly affect performance. ;) All the issues are mainly to deal with each person unique setup. :) Besides most people are OK with C&C3, its just there is a very vocal minority. :p

Also, I don't know how you can play teh game on low graphic settings, its just soo, ugly.... meh, to each his own. :)

Thanks for your reply

Well Iam happy that the game runs at least with my old Pc.
Shurly the graphics would look better with an higher setting but it does not look so bad after all on low :)
