I recently purchased the CnC Decade pack having fond memories of the original games. Having played through parts of the pack I just can’t believe how many issues there are with the series. Did EA actually beta the pack at all?
It makes me so mad to see such a wasted opportunity to keep fans happy and to make such a total hash of it.
I presume everyone has been having the same problems listed below:
Game crashes when units reach the top of the screen. OK so we have a fan patch which resolves this issue (thanks to the author, you are a life saver) but not an official patch.
Random game crashes in Tiberian Dawn. The game freezes for no reason and has to be restarted. It seems to happen most in NOD missions.
No cut scenes in Red Alert. After the initial movie there are no cut scenes and no option to watch them. I’m sure the original game had them.
The Dino missions end after the second mission. The next mission is a rehashed GDI mission where you have access to NOD structures but no dinosaurs. Weird?
That’s it so far! But then again I haven’t played anything else.
