Red Alert 1 runs too fast!

Hi everyone,

like many others I have decided to play red alert 1 after many years again. Using the Red Alert Setup Manager v0.98 (http://ra.afraid.org/html/downloads/utilities-3.html) tool I successfully installed Red Alert 1 on my Vista 64 System.

Unfortunately the scrolling speed in the game is so fast, that scrolling is impossible, you are simply at the sides of the game at once.
I already turned town the scrolling speed in the options on a minimum.

I am using a Quad Core q9450.

Is there some option to slow down the game?

Hi HZG,
Go to your RA1 directory, run rasetup.exe and enable Back Buffer in Video Memory.
If that doesn't work or makes the game stutter, try CPU Grabber instead:

Thanks, it worked for me using the cpu grabber although I had to start it 4 times, once for each core ;)
