is my band's website which I'm doing all on my own... (sad amn't i :P)
i was gonna do it in flash completely but i dont know the language well enough to pull that off. so instead I'm going to have it mainly html with a few flash elements included.
My main question is this:
can anyone recommend a background colour? I'm using a kinda grey'ish one at the moment which isn't too bad but I dunno if it's good enough. It doesnt look good as black or white so dont suggest them.
Mmm... try #2E435E

although i like what you've done, the dotty things wouldn't really fit with the style i'm going for. but i do like that colour. it, however, doesnt really fit if i leave the edges of the bits of layout as straight.
Would it be worth me grungifying the edges just to see if i can make it fit like that?

Flak's come up with a winner there. Try a bit of grunge and see if it looks good

it'll be a few days before i can give that a shot, im concentrating on getting a media player sorted, on that note:
can anyone help:
im looking for gallery scripts which can be customised, thinking i might use the one that cncworld use tho so that saves some searching
im also looking for an audio / video player which I can customise the layout of to make it fit my current layout (i want to put it in the frame on the left of the layout) can anyone recommend?

Yea, Coppermine is a great gallery script; really easy to skin and has loads of features. It's not the easiest to use though, if you're gonna use it P1es that's not a prob, but if band members try and use it they will prolly fail.

:P im the one doing everything as far as our web stuff, the other guys dont know the first thing about it
think im gonna settle for the website the way it is, i like it.
oh yeah, can someone please go onto the video pages for me (the popup bits) and open a video file, at the bottom it should have a back button
in Iexplore it looks fine for me, but on firefox the window is showing up as the wrong size and there are frigging scrollbars :( any ideas? or is it just my firefox which is bugggered

Looks perfect in FF.
If you've rounded the click to enter image, I think you should round off the corners on the layout too.

i thought the same, but it looked pretty pish
reason i opted for the front one being rounded is cos I wanted it to be more of a button than just an image. But cheers for the thought
