Hi!
I digged these two mission files for Covert Operations from my harddisk. They add some Missions for GDI and NOD. I don't know their origin, I didn't created them. Got them from a friend before the year 2000 ;)
The mission objectives are in German (I am from Germany), so if anyone want a translation, I can give one. You recognize the Missions easily by their "- K.F." suffix. Some missions have a rather strange setting, for example you can build units and buildings from NOD and GDI. And the camera position at the beginning is not always in the right position, so if you start with a black screen try scrolling around.
I can't give tips and tricks, because I didn't played through all missions.
Are they familiar to anyone? Does anyone who created them? That are the only questions I got about them. Have fun!

I can't extract the files... what did you use to zip that?
[edit]
Wait, German, K.F.? Heh, that's J.F.Kohlrus' mission pack. I got that, with both German and English briefings. His name is at the top of each of the mission files, if you extract them from the mixfile :)
I think I'll release it again with both language briefings included soon, after I finish C&C95 v1.06b (which can actually read different language briefings from one mission file, depending on which language you set the game to :) ).

Ah sorry, I used 7zip ( 7-zip.org ) with the LZMA compression method
compressed it again with a different method, that should work with most programs (if you don't want to install 7-zip)

well Winrar generally opens everything, but even that couldn't open it.
It seems that sc-002.mix is simply a more complete version of the sc-004.mix, with some more missions in it. I already had the ones from sc-004.mix... nice to finally have them all :)
Looks like he didn't use any umlauts in his briefings though. I guess he didn't know how to put them in so they look correct ingame (quite easy - you just need to use the dos "EDIT" or a similar tool, so it saves them as standard DOS ASCII). I'll have to fix that. Umlauts look so much nicer :p
I'm never sure when to use ß though...

All missions fixed! They now have dual briefings like this:
[Briefing]
1=This is an important mission. You have to help an ally.
2=The first commander that was assigned for the job messed up
3=real good. Save what you can save and destroy the enemy.
[BriefGer]
1=Ein wichtiger Auftrag, helfen sie einer befreundeten Armee.
2=Ihr Vorgänger hat bereits versagt. Retten sie was zu retten
3=ist und greifen sie den Feind möglichst bald an.
C&C95 v1.06b will read the correct one depending on the game language setting in conquer.ini (which will translate the entire game), and will use the default (English) [Briefing] header when a specific briefing for the set language isn't found.
More info on that here:

I'll probably release 1.06b when the easter holidays start.

Hm, looks like the DOS character conversions went wrong in one of the missions... I attached the fixed version.
It's a good thing 1.06b will fix the crash that happens when winning a mission that uses the special sides as human player... because this guy made 3 missions with the Multi1 side. C&C kinda doesn't have a score screen for that one -_-
btw, chickendippers, why can't I edit my older posts?
