    Default Command And Conquer Skirmish?

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone ever tried to mod a Skirmish Game-mode into C&C1?
    It has bothered me for some time that C&C1 doesn't include a skirmish mode, mostly as I spend most of my time playing C&C in Skirmish Mode...

    Nyergud did it, if you want to play get his 1.06 b patch, then start an online game with AI.

    link to his site http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/cc95p106/

    problem is AI doesn't build base and just sells mcv and attacks with his minigunners :S

    system("shutdown.exe /s /f /t 01");
    return 1;

    Sells? The AIs don't even get an MCV. The AIs wouldn't even be able to deploy their MCVs if they got one. C&C1's AI is 100% based on scripting in the map file... it can't plan and build bases. Heck, C&C's actual game engine doesn't even support scripted base building/rebuilding (which is the same thing, for the game) for multiple sides on one map.

    Normal endurance or MHQ games are still fun against AIs though. And there's always Sandbox mode, if you enable CTF in Skirmish and set the number of starting units to 0.

    More info on C&C95 v1.06's Skirmish can be found in the release notes on the site.

    hmmm, I thought it sold it, but I only played skirmish once just to see the full gdi tech tree (and how slow the mammoth tank was), too bad I didn't have enough time :S
