I'll start by saying this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever run into with any game.

I recently decided to reinstall and play CnC3 KW however for some ridiculous reason I'm not able to make control groups, you know the standard ctrl+1/2/3/4/5/etc to make a group out of what units you currently have selected? yea that

I cannot fathom why or how this is happening, at first I thought it was one of the mods I had installed. I installed the Forgotten mod and a bunch of maps and a no cd crack(yes I have a legit physical copy) but I couldn't understand how any of those were making this happen. That being said I followed all normal troubleshooting rules and uninstalled the game entirely and reinstalled it with no mods or even official updates(which are done through the launcher) and I'm still unable to make control groups. My keyboard is fully functional and I tried it with another as well that it fully functional. I cannot rebind the shortcut to group units as it's a non re-bindable command. I'm at my wits end here so I would appreciate any help that can be offered.
