Sorry, i hadn't noticed that bit. I have it installed now. Now when i do the same steps I Get the same result though. Is there a different install folder I am supposed to use? I tried doing the Setup95 setup from the mount but that didn't work. Then i copied the Setup95 folder to the new folder on my hardrive where i copied the install folder to. tried it there(with compatibility on windows 95) and got the same little hourglass animation.

Thank you for all of the help Nyerguds.

Ehh... where exactly on your hard disk did you copy the folder?

Basically, you should just make a c:\games\ or c:\Westwood\ folder or something, copy the entire "Install" folder from the CD in there, rename it to from "Install" to "Red Alert", and then run the patch and make install into to that folder.

You don't have to run the game installation at all. Just the patch.

If that doesn't work, try selecting all files in the folder you copied, opening the properties and making sure their their Read-Only status is disabled, and try the patch again.
