Can't login to to the command & conquer forums even though I have an account?

Hi there. I know this is a strange question to ask about another forum but if I could ask on that forum, I'd post there but I can't even do that. I have an EA.com account so I tried to login with it but I get an error "User is not valid or doesn't have access to this site" so can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

Which forum are you trying to log in to? The old one or the new one?

I had trouble figuring out how to log in to the new one at first... I logged in with my email on the site itself, but that didn't seem to count on the forum for some reason, and the login on the forum just redirected me to the site.

I finally managed to get logged in by clicking "Reply" in a thread, and there it asked my username (NOT email) and password, and that logged me in.
