These are the ideas that were on the first CNC VISION site, made up of user submissions and ideas taken from the official forums, credit is given after the idea in parenthesis:
--Be able to place beacons on mini map or main map to alert allies of anything happening
-Ability to hide the sidebar
(Opinion made by many forum members)
--A button in the toolbar section of the screen (like the one in RA2) that automatically gives the command for badly injured units (like units in the red health stage) to retreat for repairs. I would rather repair my units. Of course this would be turned off and on as the user wishes.

--RETURN OF WAYPOINTS

--Maybe a button on the map-bar could let you see where Tiberium is most radioactive so you know which places not to order your troops to walk through.

Taken from CNC's Photoshop Competition under the category 'Project Perfect Mod.' Just ignore the picture (if you can :P) and concentrate on the sidebar if you will. It may seem a little cluttered, but this is what I've envisioned the CnC3 sidebar to be based on reviews. Obviously we have the In game FMV/Patriotic Logo/Map on the top followed by classic CnC commands (Sell, Repair, Waypoints). I would have used more but I felt it'll be a little TOO cluttered than it already is. Of course under that we have the basic build menu (taken from Tiberian Sun). The bottom part was based off one review I've read in the past stating that the CnC3 sidebar would feature a 'General's style Building/Unit upgrade section.'

An idea that was emailed to me:
Attack/Defense modes for units:
Point-Attack(default); Selected units attack exactly the given location, just like
in earlier games
Area-Attack; Selected units attack every Hostile unit/structure in target zone, with
prioreties: Base Defense/tanks->Light Vehicles/Infantry->Factories/Silos/Other
Buildings/Harvesters (can be used with aircrafts)
Point-Defense(default); Units in point defense mode attack enemy units coming in
range, then start chasing the enemy unit if the units have been set to aggressive
stance
Area-Defense; Units in area defense start approaching enemy even if its not in the
range yet(Can be used with aircrafts)
Convoy-Movement-Mode; if multiple units selected; they can be set to Convoy-Mode,
which will make them move from place to another in formation(Strong units in the
point and rear, weak units in the middle), same can be used to assign tanks to
protect miners on their way to tiberium field outside of defense perimeter(aircrafts
can be assigned to protect the convoy)[FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida,'lucida grande',arial,helvetica,sans-serif]

For air strikes, or say reinforcements...
how when you place a building it has the arrow that shows what the front is. Well what if they had that for airstrikes so you could sent it from different points on the map.
so you'd click airstrike button, click on terrain where you want the strike to hit drag it in whatever direction you want the A-10 to come from (such as North East to South West) release it comes from that area off screen.
The same thing would be for reinforcements or etc.

And where would all these commands go on the interface? Some of those ideas (Area-Attack and Convoy-Movement-Mode) sound like they'd take all the fun out of the game - you wouldn't actually have to do anything!
