Vista Issues with Gen and ZH!!!

Hey I am trying to play online with Generals or ZH using Vista and while the game works the patch system seems to fail (won't do the last step in the patch process (step 10 for both Gen and ZH - renaming english.big file).

The when you try and play the game online in quickmatch it fails and in lobby it tells you the version is not upto date or current or whatever. Anyone come accross this Vista issue. The game worked fine on the same pc before I upgraded to the eval vista. Help!!!!!

Hi Tecno, welcome to C&C Forums

Unfortunately I don't think anyone will be able to help you because noone here runs Vista. If it worked on XP you should probably report the issue to Microsoft as it may well be a bug - something you should expect using a beta OS.

I know is shouldn't expect Zero Hr to work on Vista. But I have to trial it for work (I am a journalist) and it is on my games machine as I wouldn't dare use it on my other work machine which is even more impt.

I am sure a fix will come along eventually, for the meantime I was hoping there might be some out there in my place. Otherwise thanks for the welcome
